United KingdomUpdated 07 October 2026India version

1. No automatic renewal

Subscriptions are for a fixed period and do not renew automatically. Nothing further is charged unless you choose to renew from My subscription.

2. Your right to cancel (consumers)

If you buy as a consumer (an individual acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession), the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within 14 days of the day the contract is made, without giving a reason.

  • To cancel, tell us clearly — by e-mail to billing@theauditor.net, through the contact page, or by post to [registered office — set in Administration]. You may use the model wording: "I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: [plan], invoice [number], ordered on [date]. Name, address, date."
  • If you asked us to start providing the service during the cancellation period (for example by using the Portal straight away), we may deduct an amount in proportion to the service supplied up to the time you told us you were cancelling.
  • We refund you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you.

3. Business customers

If you buy for your business (including as a sole trader acting in the course of business) the statutory right above does not apply, but we offer the following as goodwill:

Situation Refund
First subscription cancelled within 14 days of payment, with no client or audit created Full refund
Renewal cancelled before its period starts Full refund
Duplicate or excess payment Full refund of the duplicate / excess
We are unable to provide the Portal for a substantial part of a paid period through our fault Pro-rata refund for the period affected
Any other cancellation during a paid period No refund for the current period; access continues until its end

4. How refunds are made

Every refund is documented with a VAT credit note against the original invoice, reversing VAT where it was charged. Card payments are refunded to the same card; bank transfers to the account you name. Your bank may take a few working days to show the credit.

5. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to have the service performed with reasonable care and skill.
