Last updated: 07 October 2026

These terms govern your use of The Auditor Network (the "Portal") at https://theauditor.net, provided by EUROBRITAIN CERTIFICATIONS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [company number — set in Administration]), registered office [registered office — set in Administration], VAT number [VAT number — set in Administration] ("we", "us"). They apply to customers billed by our UK company. By creating an account, subscribing or using the Portal you agree to them. If you use the Portal for a business, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.

1. The service

1.1 The Portal is software for planning and recording management-system audits: checklists, evidence, findings, corrective actions, reports, verification of issued reports and related records.

1.2 We provide the software only. We do not carry out audits, issue certificates or grant accreditation, and we do not check the correctness of what users record. Audit decisions are made by the auditors and certification bodies who use the Portal.

1.3 We may improve and change the Portal. We will not remove a core function you rely on during a paid period without telling you in advance.

2. Accounts

2.1 Lead Auditors and Auditors may register themselves; other accounts (certification-body administrators, technical experts, client representatives) are created by an administrator.

2.2 You must give true and complete information, keep your password and authenticator confidential, and tell us at once of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for what is done through your account.

2.3 The Portal is for professional use by persons aged 18 or over.

3. Subscriptions and payment

3.1 Lead Auditors and Auditors need an active subscription. Plans, prices, periods and limits are shown at sign-up and on My subscription. Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which is charged where applicable as shown on the VAT invoice.

3.2 Subscriptions do not renew automatically. Before the end of a period you may renew, on the same or another plan, from My subscription.

3.3 Payment is due on the invoice, by card through our payment provider or by bank transfer. A self-registered account becomes active when the first invoice is paid; a bank transfer counts once we have verified it.

3.4 When a subscription ends and its grace period passes, access to the Portal stops and the audits you lead are suspended for the people working on them until the renewal is paid. Nothing is deleted because of a lapse.

3.5 Cancellation rights and refunds are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy. If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days, explained there.

4. Your content and data

4.1 You keep all rights in the content you and your organisation put into the Portal ("Customer Data"). You give us the right to host, process, back up and display it only as needed to provide the Portal to you and the people you share it with.

4.2 Where Customer Data contains personal data, the certification body or auditor who records it is the controller and we act as its processor, on the terms in our Privacy Policy, which include the terms required by Article 28 UK GDPR.

4.3 You must have the right to upload what you upload, and must not upload anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory or containing malicious code. Files are scanned for viruses.

4.4 You can download a copy of the data you can see at any time from Backups. Evidence files are kept for the retention period set for each client and then removed; records are kept.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; probe, scan or test the security of the Portal without our written permission; interfere with its operation; copy, resell or reverse-engineer it except as the law allows; use it to send unsolicited messages; or use it to issue or present reports that are false or misleading.

6. Intellectual property

The Portal, its software, design and documentation belong to us or our licensors. Standards such as ISO 9001 are the copyright of their publishers; the Portal does not supply their text, and you must hold your own licences to the standards you audit against. "ISO" is a registered trademark of the International Organization for Standardization, with which we are not affiliated.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Portal available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. Support is by e-mail at billing@theauditor.net.

8. Liability

8.1 We provide the Portal with reasonable care and skill. If you are a consumer, you also have the rights given by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and nothing in these terms affects them.

8.2 If you use the Portal for business, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data that could have been recovered from a backup, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us in those twelve months.

8.3 We are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of audit content recorded by users.

8.4 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that materially breaches these terms, with notice where practical. You may stop using the Portal at any time. After closure we keep Customer Data for the retention periods in our Privacy Policy and then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by e-mail or in the Portal. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Portal before the change takes effect.

11. Complaints

Please raise any complaint with us first at billing@theauditor.net or through the contact page. We acknowledge complaints within two working days.

12. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
